En fonction des exigences sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9sistance au feu, nous r\u00e9alisons deux types de rev\u00eatements qui peuvent \u00eatre pulv\u00e9ris\u00e9s : les rev\u00eatements ignifuges minces et les rev\u00eatements ignifuges \u00e9pais. Les exigences en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9sistance au feu sont relativement \u00e9lev\u00e9es pour les structures en acier de grande hauteur. Il est possible de pulv\u00e9riser un mat\u00e9riau de protection contre le feu \u00e0 base de fibres inorganiques, ce rev\u00eatement r\u00e9sistant au feu pouvant am\u00e9liorer efficacement la dur\u00e9e de r\u00e9sistance au feu de la structure en acier, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 5 heures. Cela nous donne tout le temps n\u00e9cessaire pour \u00e9teindre l&rsquo;incendie.
